STEP — ESG Marketplace
B2B ESG technology marketplace for the Emirates Green Building Council: directory, challenges, insights and CMS.

Overview
STEP is the Emirates Green Building Council marketplace platform, built to answer a concrete question: how does a company navigate hundreds of ESG solutions when the market is young, fragmented and full of promises that are hard to compare?
The answer is a structured directory: providers submit their ESG tools and the audience searches them with advanced filters on E, S and G pillars, subcategories and regulatory frameworks such as CSRD, SFDR, GRESB, TCFD and GRI. The search criterion is compliance, not slogans.
Behind the directory is a CMS running challenges, insights, careers and the newsletter, and a Submit a Tool flow with a dedicated provider dashboard, so the offering can grow without manual intervention. The platform is fully localized in English and Arabic.
Technically it is built with Next.js 16, React 19, TypeScript, Supabase, OpenAI, Resend, next-intl and Vercel Cron. A cron optimized with Resend's Batch API sends 100 emails in under a second, a detail that changes the scalability of communications.
The dataset counts 1,493 contacts, and the platform combines discovery, content and community in one place. STEP is an example of a product where the data structure is the value: without a solid taxonomy, an ESG marketplace does not exist.
